DISNEY’S THE LION KING WELCOMES ITS 100,000,000TH GUEST WORLDWIDE

100 Cast Members on Three Continents Celebrate 100M Milestone with Multilingual “Circle of Life” 

THE LION KING – the most successful title in musical theatre history – passes another historic milestone this week, welcoming its 100,000,000th guest worldwide.  Since its Broadway premiere on November 13, 1997, 25 productions have played in 100 cities around the world on every continent except Antarctica.

To celebrate the milestone, THE LION KING today released a new music video (click to view) featuring 100 cast members from seven companies of the show singing the stirring ‘Circle of Life’ in five languages on location across three continents. The video was shot at landmarks of the cities currently hosting the show, including Hamburg’s Elbe River, The London Eye, New York’s Times Square, Lotte World Tower in Seoul, South Korea and Madrid’s Royal Palace. THE LION KING can currently be seen on Broadway; London’s West End; Hamburg; Tokyo; Madrid; Scheveningen, Holland; on international tour now playing in Busan, South Korea; and on tours across Japan and North America.

THE LION KING International Tour continues into 2019 and beyond with confirmed engagements in Taipei, Bangkok and Hong Kong after record breaking seasons in Manila, Singapore, Daegu and Seoul.
